DOWNTOWN BURLINGTON COMMUNITY LUNCH
St. Luke's Church Hall, 1382 Ontario St. Burlington
If you are interested in meeting new people and enjoying a delicious meal in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, the Downtown Burlington Community Lunch at St. Luke's may just be the place for you.
The lunch is held from 11:30 am to 1:15 pm on the first, third and fifth Wednesdays of the month (except for Nov 15th when members of St. Luke's prepare for their Christmas market). The lunch is free but an optional ‘free will’ offering basket is provided for those wishing to contribute toward the cost of the meal. Food donations are supplied by Burlington Food Bank, Food for Life, Burlington Food Share and Free Will Donations.
Burlington Baptist, Knox Presbyterian, St. John's Catholic and St. Luke's Anglican Churches contribute financial support to help fund this program. In addition to financial aid, volunteers from these Churches assist at the Community Lunch. Dora Lane, Miles and Adam Ross and Laura Bucenieks represent BBC in this capacity.
